A dear friend told me the other day that if there ever was anything you were destined to be, it’s a momma. And I couldn’t agree more, and that is why I dedicate my first blog post on my NEW website, to my children.
I understand that most people don’t like to have their picture taken, but I find it quite contrary that those very same people cherish the memories that were made and want to hold onto them and relish on all the emotions once they hold them in their hands. I say that because I want my followers and clients to already feel like they know me before their photo session; and one way I plan to do so is let you in on who I am as a mother and wife in my blog posts. (Or you can find me on my personal Instagram account as well: @thedavisfamilyfarm)
If you are new here, hold onto your seat, because I live a very eventful, whirlwind of a life.
Yesterday was one of my favorite annual trips I take with my kids. I went back and found a few pictures to showcase our trips to Brown Farms over the years starting in 2014.
This year seemed extra special though. Maybe because my two older kids have gone so many times already they were bringing up past trips, and how many strawberries they were going to pick for our special jam we are making as gifts. But, I can’t spoil that too much since some who are getting the gifts may be reading this… ☺
Then getting to watch Johnny have his first exploration into the patch of strawberries had us all laughing. I have never given John a whole strawberry without cutting it up first. Once he got his first bite, he was on a mission to find more. (You can find in my Instagram stories him biting into his first strawberry)
I hope you enjoy a little peek into our adventure at Brown Farms. And did you know one strawberry has around 200 seeds? My son Jaden who is full of facts let me in on that. ☺
I chose this journey many years ago to document life for others because each day passes so quickly (well on a good day) and one day the years are gone and all we have are pictures to look upon and relish on. I consider myself a lifestyle photographer that gets into the moment and doesn’t really do a lot of stiff posing. I cherish the fact that I have been able to work as a wedding photographer for years now, and relish the fact that I get to work with Seniors ready to embark on their college years! I have been at this for 10 years, with a little break over the past few years, but there’s no doubt this is what I am called to do for my family and others. I could work an 8-5 job, but I chose to pursue my inner creativity to bless others and always be available for my children from home.
Thank you for being here! I look forward to working with you!
