Are you out for summer and rolling into your senior high school year? Or maybe you are reading this and you are entering into the summer before high school even begins. Either way, it is a transitioning time, a lot of emotion of broken friends, new friendships, not sure where you fit in. All those feelings that make you want to crawl in a hole somedays.
If I could encourage you with ONE tip of advice it would be this: people will never forget how you made them FEEL. Each good or bad action, word of encouragement, gossip, and jealousies will stay stashed away in some peoples hearts the rest of their lives.
Be the girl that does not give into the gossip circle. Stand up for whoever is being bashed. Reach out to that person, as she probably feels very alone.
Be the girl that makes a difference in others lives by simply saying hello, making eye contact, and asking how that shy girl is doing.
Our days our short, even though while walking the crowded halls of school seem so long. I am looking back 18 years since I graduated high school. I assure you I remember how some made me feel. I don’t hold grudges and all is in the past, but, those feelings will never be forgotten.
I hope your summer is filled with laughter and kindled friendships!
I am looking forward to investing time into upcoming seniors while on the other side of my camera. And I hope to see friendships blossom from our senior photography sessions.
