Cap and gown sessions don’t have to look like everyone else’s.
Most people picture the traditional shot—standing straight, holding the cap, smiling at the camera. And there’s nothing wrong with that. But every once in a while, a session comes along that reminds me it doesn’t have to stay in that box.
This one did exactly that.
She showed up with her Camaro, and we decided to do something a little different. Instead of keeping everything posed and predictable, I had her climb out the window, let the wind catch her hair, and just lean into the moment.
And honestly… it just worked.
There wasn’t a lot of overthinking. The sun hit her hair just right (which is always my favorite), the movement felt natural, and the whole session had this effortless, cool edge to it. It didn’t feel staged—it felt like her.
That’s the kind of senior session I love creating.
Senior Photos Should Feel Like You
Your senior year is a big moment, and your photos should reflect more than just the milestone—they should reflect your personality.

Not every session needs to be “rad,” but the best ones always feel real.
